What ages or levels do you teach?

We provide instruction for students starting from 14 years old and up.

We teach students of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

What music styles and genres do you teach?

We teach all your favorite styles and genres of music – Pop, Gospel, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock, Music Theater, Classical and others.

Do I have to audition? Are you a school?

We are a voice school that offers classes to enhance vocal technique and application.

You should visit the first intro lesson where your singing level will be evaluated to start studying with us.

Also we offer International Singing and Teaching Certification.

What do I need to prepare for my first intro lesson?

While all voice lessons are individually tailored to meet each student’s needs, our professors generally start with a brief discussion about any prior voice training, your vocal goals, and any additional questions. The lesson is usually divided into four parts: Vocal Warmups, Technique Exercises, Stylistic Exercises followed by Song work. You are welcome to bring any material you have been working on or would like to start working on with your new teacher.

Do you have an undergraduate or graduate program?

No, we don’t. We offer an International Singing and Teaching Certification Program.

Do you offer US student visas for international clients?

We do not support US student visas to international clients.

However, international students are always welcome to take lessons with us using their tourist visa or any other type of US visa, or online.

How do I choose the best professor for me?

All of our professors are qualified and capable of teaching all levels of students, from beginner to advanced. Also all of them have professional music education and big experience. We will select for you the best voice professor after the intro lesson who will be able to fulfill your individual needs.

Is there a certain amount of classes I need to commit to?

Our standard curriculum is 2 lessons per week. By regularly attending lessons with us, in addition to amazing skills and abilities, 6 months after the start of training you will be able to receive a certificate from DIVAin International Voice Association and the International Association of Teachers of Singing, which will confirm your beginner, intermediate or advanced vocal level.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is possible to freeze classes in case of illness or student (if there is an identification document – a certificate from the hospital, travel documents) for no more than 2 classes per month. In this case you should send a notice e-mail to American Voice Academy Assistant minimum 24 hours in advance for the possibility of freezing classes.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept payment online with credit/debit cards through the American Vocal Academy website, we do not accept cash or check.

What is the form of the classes: group or private lessons?

Education at our academy takes place in a hybrid form that combines the best features of individual and group forms of education. You can learn about the benefits of our hybrid program in the intro lesson.
